is a Japanese video game composer and musician.
Takahito Eguchi was born in Nagasaki, Japan. He attended Tokyo Conservatoire Shobi, and he has been a first-generation musician. At the age of six, he was influenced into the music field when he heard his neighbor play the piano, and he would listen to it daily. His father tried to make him to become a sportsman, but later agreed to let him become a musician, first studying the piano.
Having a great musical background since then, he worked for Square Enix from 1995 to 2003, composing several games with Noriko Matsueda, whom he first met at the Conservatoire. Eguchi left Square Enix to became a freelancer after assisting Matsueda in scoring Final Fantasy X-2. He is currently working on Japanese anime series.
Eguchi resides in Tokyo.
His musical influences include Igor Stravinsky, Leonard Bernstein, and Miles Davis.
