Aleera is a fictional vampire and is Count Dracula's youngest bride in the movie Van Helsing. She was portrayed by Elena Anaya.
Not much is known about Aleera except for the fact that she is Dracula's youngest bride, Marishka being the second oldest and Verona the oldest, and more dominant of the three brides. In 1887, Dracula attempted to get Dr. Victor Frankenstein to create a creature capable of giving their children lasting life. However, it was believed by Aleera, Dracula, and the other brides that the monster died in a fire at a windmill. One year later, Aleera and the other brides are desperate to finish off Anna Valerious so that the vampires plans of giving their children lasting life cannot be interrupted. It is around this time that they meet Van Helsing, who kills the bride Mariska upon his very first encounter with the brides. Later on, after the discovery that Frankenstein's monster was still alive, upon trying to capture him, the oldest bride, Verona, was killed. Towards the end of the film, Aleera battles Frankenstein's monster and toys with Anna, attempting to kill her, but ultimately being stabbed in the heart with a silver stake. Aleera Hates Anna immensely, They seem to have a deep rooted hate relationship.
Aleera's capabilities were displayed in far more detail than the other vampire brides. As an immortal, she could heal any wound other than a puncture of the heart. She could view the infrared spectrum, allowing her to locate a victim in total darkness. She was capable of compressing her breath such that a simple exhaled whisper could extinguish large flames. She also exhibited a degree of superhuman strength, which could be seen when she punched Anna clear across a room and lifted her with one hand, without hitch or restraint. She could stir heavy winds by spinning in a cyclonic manner. The bride also possessed a limited ability to negate the effects of gravity immediately surround her: granting the ability to jump considerable heights, or hang upside down from walls and ceilings with no ill effect. She was capable of transitioning herself at teleportation-like speeds, such that she appeared to move from one location to another in an instant. Perhaps most significantly, Aleera possessed the ability to transform into an anthropomorphic bat, much like Dracula. When in the form of this daemonic creature her skin becomes a grayish-white and she gains wings capable of sustained flight.
